In this week’s installment, we see across the country episodes of violence amongst parents, fans, and officials. This is a serious epidemic, that we hope gets ameliorated with proper training. Lionel Messi discusses how the Referee’s in his latest Argentinian defeat was BS. I find these type of articles funny. because there’s only so much you can control, and one thing you can control as a player in any sport is yourself, not the officials. However, again, decide for yourself.
NPR just came out with an article concerning how officials have used video assistance in the World Cup. There’s Pro’s and Cons, which you can find here. Interesting.
Finally. there’s a shortage of referees in all sports in the stage of Wisconsin. Most of it is attributed to the behavior of fans and parents. Click here to read more.
